I am a single mother of a 7 year old son. For almost 3 years, Regions Bank has illegally received my veterans disability benefits under the pretense that I am mentally incompetent ( I am a recent fall graduate of Austin Peay State University, Bachelor of Science degree. I put myself through college and provide care and home for my son). Regions Bank currently receives approximately $2,600 per month of my benefits and only allot $200 per week for the care of myself and son. This has been going on for almost 3 years. My son and I need assistance with this matter. I have tried numerous government officials and organizations to assist me and for some reason, this issue continues to linger on. Regions Bank has been successful with keeping this out of court where the American public will hear the case. Benefits that rightfully belong to my family due to service that I made to my country, are being illegally received and kept by Regions Bank.

Regions Bank does not have legal justification or legal documentation to receive my veterans benefits. They have not provided any explanation for only allotting my family $200 per week to live on out of $2,600 per month of benefits. My savings have been exhausted trying to care for my family while Regions Bank profits off of my veterans benefits.

In December 2005, when Regions Bank was AmSouth Bank, they petitioned Montgomery County Chancery Court in Clarksville TN to try to take control of all the money that I received. They even asked the Judge not to investigate the case. The Judge agreed to not investigate the case. When I said that what they were doing was illegal, AmSouth Bank withdrew their petition and the case was dismissed.

Regions Bank continues to this day( June 18, 2008) stealing from my family. In Court, I learned that AmSouth Bank was receiving monthly benefits of 250 veterans in my area.

REGIONS BANK ARE SCAMMERS THAT STEAL DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS BENEFITS FROM VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY.

THIS IS A DISGRACE AGAINST THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE HONORABLY SERVED THEIR COUNTRY.

REGIONS BANK GROW RICH OFF THOSE WHO SACRIFICED FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA-- disabled veterans pay Regions Bank a fee

Regions can't just keep that money. HOWEVER, if a court has put some sort of a court order on your account b/c THEY deemed you incompetent, then that could be your problem. Banks have to follow court orders and gov. orders. If a court has some sort or a block on the account, then you need to be complaining about that, NOT the bank for enforcing a legal action.

Hire you a VA lawyer to help you with this matter. If its true and im not saying it isnt they are screwing up bigtime!! I am a disabled vet who has my check direct deposited every month and you have to watch them(regions) like a hawk. Hire an attorney. They will probably take your case for a % of the settlement. retired disabled vet
