| When my father passed away I found a CD interest statement from regions bank. The CD had a POD that read, see instructions for POD. They said that there were no longer instructions for the CD and we would have to go to probate. The branch manager Informed us that they no longer keep records on CD's after five years. The CD was ten years old but still active and still drawing a small amount of interest. We talked to two different branch managers which told me and my sister that it was completely out of their hands. By the way, the CD was worth over twenty thousand dollars. The banker said he would rather settle up with us just so they would not have to pay 1.5% interest.No luck,we had to go to probate. To hell with Regions. |
